ERTF will take part at the 9th CAHROM meeting

The European Roma and Travellers Forum (ERTF) will take part in the 9th meeting of the Ad hoc Committee of Experts for Roma Issues (CAHROM) organised by the Council of Europe on 27th - 29th of May 2015.

The focus of the meeting will be on the situation of Roma in Europe and recent policy developments at national level in the fields of housing, early marriages, Roma children and education, CAHROM’s future thematic work, and recent developments at the international level.

ERTF will provide an update on the situation of the Roma in the Czech Republic and UK, as well as the ERTF views on the “revised concept paper on the creation of a European Roma Institute (ERI)" and on the Information document “Updating the Council of Europe agenda on Roma Inclusion”, the upcoming report on the situation of Roma in Slovenia, the paper on Early Marriages, the Catalogue of the Council of Europe Recommendations on Roma and the analysis of the National Roma Integration Strategies from a gender perspective.
